Has becoming more self-aware part of today’s society? Ever since it became more common for men to take care of themselves, multiple products are being produced just for men. Skincare, haircare, products for shaving, men cosmetics are increasingly popular.
Men neglect most kinds of skincare routines to the extent of actively steering clear of natural beauty tips. We feel that our regular soap bar will do the job just as fine, and continuously refuse to break our old habits. But when we take a look around us, the numbers of men that care more about their appearance are growing. And surely, a lot of things are changing with top brands targeting men actively.
There are certain aspects that interest the modern man, and persuade us to take care of. Skincare, hair- and beard care, and for example shaving tips, are considered very useful for men (even though we do not like to admit that).
Sometimes men are a little shy about asking for men’s beauty tips. They fear that it will make them feel a little less manly to have a bathroom full of “beauty” products, but who doesn’t want to look their best?
When it comes to shaving, it looks easier than it is. Choosing the right razor, right cream, and making sure that you shave with the direction of the hair growth can be quite a mammoth task. Although the typical shaving cream can offer a solution, these commercial products are often linked to cancer and hormone disruptions.
Luckily, we can make our own shaving cream by mixing shea butter, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, and a few drops of essential oils. Make sure the butter and oils are melted together at a low temperature in a double-boiler.
To combat dry and rough skin, and to moisturize it, there is no need for an elaborate skin care regimen. The only thing you have to do is heat up some coconut oil in your hands and apply it on dry skin. It is possible to add a little baking soda in order to remove the top layer of dead, and dry skin cells.
This might be something a little more for the ladies, but we all know enough men that would want to prevent themselves from getting wrinkles. Keeping your skin exfoliated and moisturized does wonders. But the real key to a youthful skin is (unfortunately) your diet.
So cut back on sugars, meat, fried food and dairy products. Skip your coffee and other caffeinated drinks, since they can dehydrate your skin. But what can we eat more of? Cabbage! Not very manly, but hey, you have to sacrifice if you want something right? Make sure you drink enough water/watery fruits/or vegetables.
We all know that feeling of being so tired that your eyes have huge bags. This is a sign of fluid retention, an obvious lack of sleep, or stress. This may sound like a boring solution but munching on celery works amazing. It acts like a mild diuretic to encourage excess fluid to leave the body and reduces stress hormones. Frozen spoons are also able to do wonders.
